The foundation of our Company was established in the mid-1950s by a pair of visionary skiers whose lifelong dream was to build a ski resort like no other. Pete Seibert and Earl Eaton realized the potential for world-class ski areas as they trekked through the Vail Valley, surveying land that would eventually become Vail Mountain.

Today, Vail Resorts is best known for our portfolio of premier mountain resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado and Heavenly in California/Nevada.

Our Mountain division generated 71% of total revenue in 2007 through five lines of business: lift tickets, ski & snowboard school, dining, retail & rental and other revenue.
