Kirsten A. Lynch
Chief Executive Officer

Kirsten was appointed to the role of CEO and the Board of Directors in November 2021.  Prior to becoming CEO, Kirsten served as EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at Vail Resorts for over 10 years.  During her tenure as CMO she led the growth of the company’s Epic Pass business and the vision to drive revenue through a data-driven approach, building the company’s analytics team and data-science team.  In 2019, Kirsten was recognized by Forbes as one of the top 50 Game-Changing Marketing Leaders on their CMO Next List.  Kirsten served on the Board of Directors for Stitch Fix (SFIX), a publicly traded e-commerce company focused on personalized data-driven fashion, from March 2018 through May 2022. Prior to joining Vail Resorts, Kirsten worked for PepsiCo as CMO of the Quaker Division.  She also worked for Kraft Foods for 12 years and started her career with Ford Motor Company in Marketing.

Timothy M. April
Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Tim was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer in October 2020. Since joining Vail Resorts in 2002, Tim served in numerous leadership positions including IT Director of Enterprise Applications, IT Director of Mountain Division, Sales and Marketing, and Vice President of Information Technology, before he was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer in 2018. Prior to joining Vail Resorts, Tim specialized on large scale PeopleSoft implementations for Government and Education clients as an IT Consultant at Accenture.

Ryan Bennett
Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Ryan Bennett was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer in November 2021. Ryan joined Vail Resorts in February 2019 as Vice President of Marketing Analytics and Insights, and in December 2019 became Vice President of Marketing & Lift Revenue. Prior to joining the Company, he was Partner and Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”) out of their Chicago office. During Ryan’s 11 years with BCG, he worked globally with leading consumer companies and built deep expertise, creating strategies to leverage market and consumer insights. Prior to BCG, Ryan completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Florida.

Angela Korch
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Angela was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in December 2022. Angela rejoins Vail Resorts from CorePower Yoga, where she served as Chief Financial Officer from May 2020 through December 2022. Prior to CorePower Yoga, Angela spent more than a decade serving our company in several leadership roles within the Finance Organization most recently as Vice President of Corporate & Mountain Finance. Prior to Vail Resorts, Angela was an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Muzinich & Company. She earned her MBA in finance from NYU Stern School of Business, is a CFA charter holder and has a B.S. degree from Cornell University.

Lynanne J. Kunkel
Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Lynanne was named Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer in May 2017. Previous to joining Vail Resorts, Lynanne served as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources for Michigan-based Whirlpool Corporation and she held various other executive positions within the company including Vice President of Global Talent Development & HR Asia and Human Resources Vice President (North America Region) since she joined in 2010. From 1989-2009, she served in a number of leadership roles at Ohio-based Procter & Gamble Company, including Human Resources Director of Global Home Care. Lynanne has served on the board of directors for both the United Way and Habitat for Humanity in Southwest Michigan.

 

   
     
     
     
Bill Rock
President of the Mountain Division

Bill was appointed President of the Mountain Division in May 2023. Bill has held a variety of leadership roles since joining Vail Resorts in 2010. Bill previously served as Executive Vice President of Mountain Operations & Chief Operation Officer for the Rocky Mountain Region, and Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Park City Mountain. After joining Vail Resorts as the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Northstar California in 2010, he later added oversight of Heavenly and Kirkwood before his move to Park City Mountain. Bill started his career in the mountain resort industry in 1996 at Bristol Mountain in New York as Director of Marketing and quickly progressed in the industry holding several leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer at Purgatory and Snowshoe Mountain. He currently serves on the board of the National Ski Areas Association and has been active on numerous community boards throughout his career.

David T. Shapiro
Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

David joined Vail Resorts as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in July 2015. Prior to joining the Company, David served as General Counsel for DaVita Kidney Care, a division of DaVita Inc., and previously served as the company's Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Special Counsel. Before joining DaVita in 2008, David practiced law with firms in Connecticut, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., and he also served as a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice. David currently serves as a member of the board of directors of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and the board of trustees for Colorado Academy. He has previously served on other private and nonprofit boards, including the Children's Hospital Colorado and the Denver Public School Foundation.

 
     
     
     
Greg Sullivan
Senior Vice President, Retail/Rental and Hospitality

Greg was appointed Senior Vice President of Retail/Rental and Hospitality in June 2021 after joining the company in September 2016 as Chief Operating Officer of Rental/Retail. Prior to joining Vail Resorts, Greg was the Senior Vice President of Global Business Transformation at Crocs and before that he held numerous roles in a 20 year career with Walmart culminating as a Division President, overseeing the Southeast Division based in Atlanta. Greg has previously served on the Board of Directors for SOS Outreach and as a council member of Executive Leadership Development for the American Diabetes Association.

Kenny Thompson, Jr.
Chief Public Affairs Officer

Kenny joined Vail Resorts as Chief Public Affairs Officer in December 2022. Prior to joining the Company, Kenny served as the Vice President of External Affairs at PepsiCo. Before joining PepsiCo in 2013, Kenny held several positions in the Obama White House, including Director of Message Events for Vice President Joe Biden, Senior Advisor to United States Trade Representative Ron Kirk, and Special Assistant and Advance Lead for President Barack Obama. In 2020, Thompson was selected to serve on the Biden – Harris Transition as Private Sector Liaison. In 2021, Thompson was appointed by President Biden to serve as a Commissioner on the President's Commission of White House Fellowships. Before heading to Washington, Kenny worked in local government serving as Policy Advisor to the first Black woman elected to the Austin City Council, Sheryl Cole. Kenny currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Texas Christian University and the Board of Advisors at the Georgetown Institute of Politics. In 2022, Kenny awarded the Washington Business Journal's Diversity in Business award.
